Please reach us at creativeflowarttherapy@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
No. Art Therapy is not about being a good artist or having artistic skill. What is important is the experience of making art versus focusing on how it looks when it is finished. There are no rules for how to create art in art therapy and anyone can enjoy the benefits of the creative process.
You are welcome to use any art materials that you have access to. You may have a favourite or a few mediums that you enjoy working with - I welcome you to use what you feel drawn to exploring with. If you are new to using art materials, Please let me know and I would be happy to offer suggestions to explore.
While psychotherapy is not covered by OHIP, consult your benefits plan to confirm coverage for a ‘Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)’. A digital receipt will be provided by email to you after every session which can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Third party billing is unavailable at this time.
If you are running late to your scheduled session it is important that you contact your therapist immediately by email haileybeitz@creativeflowarttherapy.com. If a client fails to provide notice of lateness, sessions will be cancelled after 15 minutes at the client's expense. The client will be charged the full session amount $120.
All clients are required to notify their therapist of a cancellation at least 24 hours before their session. In cases of late and same-day cancellations clients will be charged a fee of $60.
Hailey Beitz is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) #14516. “Qualifying” is a designation given to a category of practitioners who belong to the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). This means that Hailey will be practising under a clinical supervisor until requirements are met.
Although Creative Flow Art Therapy is a Virtual Practice it is rooted within Barrie, Ontario.
We humbly acknowledge we in Barrie are on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Anishinaabeg people, which include the Odawa, Ojibwe, and Pottawatomi Nations collectively known as the Three Fires Confederacy, and prior to the middle of 17th century the Wendat Nation and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We add our voices to the call for Truth and Reconciliation and healing for injustice. We commit to learning more so that we are able to act as good neighbours on these lands.
